We spent first couple of days near lake Langtjønna, in Hestbetåsbua cabin, in ice-aged landscape. The wooden channel on the photo originates from 19th century. It was used for transporting the logs between the lakes. |
Next destination - Isteren lake. We explored its eastern shore (around 20 km in total) on the canoe nr. 7 (rented from Gløtberget camp) |
Our typical camp during the canoe expedition. This one is located on Søndre Digerneset. |
Except paddling, we were fishing, bird-watching, picking berries and mushrooms. |
Getting ready for winter. |
Old bridge over Glomma river on our way back to Trondheim. |
From Trondheim, we headed south to Sunndalen valley, where we stayed 2 nights in nice cabin Stabbur. On the way there, we checked all the waterfalls in Åmotan. |
A river above Linndalsfallet. |
From Sunndalen valley, we hiked up to Flatvaddalen. Classical steep start (around 900m vertical on 2 km hike) is followed by almost flat valley. |
with some exposure, waterfalls and no people around... |
and as a bonus: good trout fishing in Langvatnet and tuns of mushrooms (chantarelles and boletes). |
Our last day we hiked up to Flatvaddalen again, however now from its opposite side, from Innerdalen. |
Innerdalen... |
Famous Innerdalstårnet (there is a tourist path all the way to the top...next time) |
View from Flatvaddalen to Innerdalen. |
Burgers on the way back = perfect ending of this great trip. |
